- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said it will release additional free reservations on Sept. 15 and Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. MDT to supplement the first batch, which sold out quickly.
- The first 1 million reservations were claimed in less than 24 hours after they opened, spurring the planned staged approach to reach an expected 4 to 5 million visitors during the April 5–Oct. 1, 2027 celebration.
- Reservations can be made on TempleSquare.org or through the Temple Square app with up to six tickets per visitor and a separate request process for groups larger than six.
- Volunteer applications are open through Sept. 14 for roles that generally require volunteers to be at least 16 in 2027 and to commit to most commonly eight weeks of service, with some one‑week assignments available for parking and security.
- The celebration will pair in-person temple tours and on‑site exhibits with multilingual and virtual experiences, building on extensive recent renovation work that included seismic strengthening and prompted outside scrutiny of interior changes.
