Overview
- Google began rolling the mobile update on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 so Chrome on supported iOS and Android devices can start using the new autofill features.
- Chrome can now autofill sensitive identity fields such as passport numbers, driver’s license details and Known Traveler Numbers directly from Google Wallet.
- The update brings desktop-level support for more complex data to phones, including flight details, license plates and vehicle identification numbers (VINs).
- Google says the data is encrypted and Chrome only saves or fills it after you give explicit permission, and Chrome 150 on Android adds a reorganized “Autofill and passwords” settings page for managing stored items.
- The change aims to speed tasks like flight check-ins and parking payments by removing manual copying, while placing control in Wallet and Chrome settings and raising the need for users to review what identity data they store across devices.
