Overview
- Tuesday night on southbound I-5 near Dunnigan, a pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run involving a white big rig with a grille guard, according to CHP.
- Caltrans workers in a construction zone reported the truck briefly slowed after the impact before continuing southbound.
- CHP said calls began around 8 p.m., with a report at about 8:10 p.m. that the pedestrian had been hit; the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
- Thursday morning, at least one person died in a separate crash at County Road 102 and County Road 17 near Woodland, where one car had major damage and another ended up in a nearby orchard.
