Overview
- The Municipalidad de Chorrillos began works on July 25 and will impose daytime partial traffic restrictions from July 27 between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Crews completed a milling phase in the first sector between Calle Los Gorriones and Avenida Tolomé and will next place the new asphalt layer in that stretch.
- The rehabilitation covers five contiguous tranches from Calle Los Gorriones to Avenida Alipio Ponce and will be executed in phased milling and resurfacing operations.
- Traffic personnel will be stationed on site to guide drivers and reduce congestion, and the project includes new horizontal and vertical signage to improve pedestrian and vehicle safety.
- Chorrillos coordinated the intervention with the Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima because the avenue had not received an integral maintenance in more than five years and the works aim to extend the road’s service life and lower accident risk.
