Chipotle Revives Hockey Jersey BOGO for Playoffs With 75 Limited Jerseys

The first jersey drop channels scarcity to drive store traffic through Rewards entries.

Overview

  • Chipotle, which announced the promotion Thursday, will offer a buy-one-get-one entrée Monday after 3 p.m. to guests wearing a hockey jersey at participating restaurants in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Redemption is in-restaurant only, excludes online, delivery and catering, caps at five free items per check, and each free entrée requires a purchased entrée collected by the jersey-wearing guest.
  • Only 75 jerseys will be available through the Chipotle Rewards Exchange, with entries open April 18 to May 2 for 10 points per entry and a limit of 20 entries per member.
  • The jersey features “Chipper” on the back and the number 53, a nod to Chipotle’s 53 core ingredients, and the NHL is not a sponsor of the offer.
  • This is the sixth straight year for the Hockey Jersey BOGO, which Chipotle frames as part of its NHL and NHLPA partnerships and broader support for hockey groups, including more than $190,000 raised to date.
