Overview
- The museum on Feb. 9 revealed Mardi Gras–themed accessories on its outdoor dinosaur statues, from beads and Tiana ears to tiaras and a giant gumbo pot, with Disney’s Carmen Smith and Leah Chase’s daughter Stella Chase Reese on hand.
- Tiana’s Joyful Celebration runs March 7, 2026 through Jan. 3, 2027 at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and is included with admission.
- The experience targets ages 6–10, presents labels in English and Spanish, and forgoes costume characters.
- Families will decorate parade floats, design costumes at Eudora’s dress shop, cook Tiana’s daddy’s gumbo, rehearse with the spasm band, and enjoy a special moment courtesy of Mama Odie.
- The exhibit is a joint effort between Walt Disney Imagineering and the museum and is scheduled to tour 12 U.S. museums starting in 2027, including COSI, The Henry Ford Museum, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and Industry, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta, and Tampa’s Glazer Children’s Museum.
