Chicago Raises Divvy Rates, Plans 200-Plus Station Buildout in 2026

Officials say higher fees fund maintenance, upgrades, improved bike distribution.

  • Per-minute charges increased to 20 cents for classic and e-bikes after the included 45 minutes and to 34 cents for scooters, with out-of-station end-ride fees now $2 for members and $3 for casual riders and day passes at $19.90.
  • Member protections include capping 30–45 minute trips at the 30-minute price, a 15-minute trip pause, a low-assist e-bike mode that mirrors classic bike pricing, and no unlock fees for trips starting in Equity Priority Areas.
  • Divvy for Everyone continues with $5 annual memberships and lower ride rates for income-eligible residents, and the annual price is $99 for new or lapsed members with renewals at $143.90.
  • More than 200 new or upgraded stations will roll out across the lakefront, downtown and underserved neighborhoods, with about 100 sites densified and relocated docks creating roughly 100 new locations as the city targets four stations per square mile.
  • Divvy logged over 500,000 trips early this year following a record 6.8 million in 2025 and nearly 13 million citywide trips with Lime, with updated rates live in the app and officials signaling further price adjustments as expansion proceeds.
