Chicago Police Seek Man in Alleged Sexual Abuse of 10-Year-Old at Humboldt Park Pool

Police released a photo seeking public tips to help an active investigation.

  • Police say the incident occurred on Aug. 12 in the 3000-block of West Augusta Boulevard when a man approached and inappropriately touched a 10-year-old girl at the Humboldt Park pool.
  • On Aug. 28 the Chicago Police Department released a photo and a detailed description of the suspect, saying he is about 55–60 years old, 150–170 pounds, with short gray hair and wearing brown shorts, a pink T-shirt, brown sunglasses and brown sandals.
  • Officers reported the man was carrying a black bag and riding a black bicycle when he left the scene and no arrest has been announced so far.
