Overview
- CPD issued a Jan. 13 community alert tying incidents across South Chicago, Goose Island, West Town, Auburn Gresham and Grand Crossing.
- The crimes occurred Jan. 3, 6 and 7, including four on Jan. 3, with three happening within about 90 minutes overnight.
- Police say four to five males ages 16 to 25 wore dark clothing and ski masks, exited a stolen car, displayed guns and demanded property and vehicles.
- Investigators report a white Hyundai Elantra was used in four incidents and a white Kia sedan in two, with both cars previously reported stolen.
