Overview
- Chevrolet unveiled the 2027 Silverado on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, introducing all-new naturally aspirated 5.7L (“350”) and 6.6L (“400”) V8 engines alongside an updated 2.7L TurboMax four-cylinder and the 3.0L Duramax diesel.
- Every Silverado now ships with a 16.3-inch center touchscreen and a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster while higher trims add an 11.5-inch passenger screen and Chevrolet says the High Country can be optioned with more than 60 inches of combined digital display area.
- The lineup is simplified to seven trims—Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, Silverado, Trail Boss, ZR2, and High Country—and off-road models gain bigger tires, a two-inch lift on Trail Boss, Multimatic DSSV dampers and front/rear lockers on ZR2 plus the returning ZR2 Bison with AEV protection.
- Chevrolet claims the 6.6L V8 will be the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in the half-ton segment, but the company has not yet released horsepower, torque, towing, payload numbers, or final pricing.
- GM plans to build the 2027 Silverado at its North American truck plants with sales expected before the end of 2026 and the initial launch contains no gasoline-electric or diesel-electric hybrid option to directly match competitors that already sell hybrid pickups.
