Overview
- Chevrolet, which unveiled the lineup Thursday, introduced the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport and the AWD Grand Sport X built around a new 6.7-liter LS6 V8 rated at 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft.
- The Grand Sport X adds a 186 hp front motor and a 1.9 kWh battery for a combined 721 hp and all-wheel drive, with track modes called Endurance, Qualifying and Push-to-Pass that replace the short-lived E-Ray’s role.
- GM will assemble LS6 engines at Flint Engine Operations in Michigan, returning Corvette V8 production there, while final vehicle assembly remains in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
- The rear-drive Grand Sport offers Touring, Z52 Sport Performance and Z52 Track setups, and options include carbon-ceramic brakes and a quad center-exit exhaust.
- Chevrolet set showroom timing for summer for the Grand Sport and fall for the Grand Sport X, and it withheld pricing as outlets estimate roughly $90,000 to $100,000.
