Chery Launches LEPAS at Auto China 2026 With 15 Global Debuts

The rollout signals a shift to value-led growth through premium segmentation plus claimed gains in chassis, hybrid, and battery tech.

Overview

  • Chery introduced LEPAS, a premium new energy brand, at Auto China 2026 in Beijing to open what it calls its Year of Deliveries.
  • LEPAS showed three launch models—the L6 EV, L4 EV, and L6 plug-in hybrid—positioned for city commutes and longer trips.
  • The company highlighted features such as highway autopilot navigation, an integrated Bosch braking system, and about 500 km range and fast charging for the L4 EV.
  • Chery said it debuted 15 models across its five-brand lineup and reported more than 4,000 guests from over 100 countries at its stand.
  • The group promoted new platforms and power systems, citing a digital chassis for zero‑radius turns, a high‑efficiency KunPeng engine, a 360 kW DHT360 hybrid drive, and a Rhino battery it says can reach 80% charge in 12 minutes, while LEPAS also staged a European debut in Milan and planned a global partners meeting to speed validation and deliveries.
