Overview
- Miami-Dade County released lease and blueprint documents on Thursday confirming a planned 13,793-square-foot Chase Sapphire Lounge on the third floor above Gate E7 in Concourse E.
- The preliminary award was led by AD Partnership (Airport Dimensions) with Chase as the brand partner and the county projects roughly $93–94 million in revenue over a 15-year lease.
- Final county and airport approvals remain outstanding because the tenant must fund extensive buildout work, including a new concourse entrance, a dedicated elevator, and LEED Silver–level design compliance.
- The RFP specified a common-use membership lounge model with complimentary food and drink, a full bar, business facilities, and optional spa, salon or shower services rather than an airline-exclusive club.
- Because of the scope of approvals and construction, reporting projects the lounge will take several years to open, optimistically around 2028 or later, and the new space could ease crowding at MIA’s existing premium lounges and change access for cardholders.
