- The CGPJ’s Permanent Commission, which voted Tuesday, ordered the disciplinary investigator to deepen the probe into Minister Félix Bolaños’ complaints about Judge Juan Carlos Peinado.
- Bolaños filed his complaints after testifying on April 16, 2025, saying the judge’s questioning was irregular, and the Supreme Court later threw out Peinado’s push to charge him for lack of any evidence.
- The commission also accepted the closure of four other complaints from private citizens or an anonymous filer and postponed a decision on filings by Más Madrid and a PSOE deputy for further study.
- Promoter Ricardo Conde had urged archiving up to seven cases on the grounds that the council cannot punish judges for rulings or procedural choices that are purely judicial decisions.
