Overview
- In Madhya Pradesh, ₹652.55 crore was released as the second instalment for FY 2024–25 to all eligible district, block and gram panchayats.
- Punjab received ₹222 crore as the first instalment for FY 2025–26 to support 13,262 gram panchayats, 150 block panchayats and 22 district panchayats.
- Telangana got ₹256.03 crore as the first instalment for FY 2024–25 benefiting 12,702 gram panchayats.
- Previously withheld sums were cleared, including ₹77 lakh to additional panchayats in Madhya Pradesh and ₹2.3318 crore to additional gram and block panchayats in Telangana.
- Union minister G. Kishan Reddy welcomed roughly ₹260 crore for Telangana, said recent utilisation certificates enabled the release, and noted about ₹2,500 crore remains to be phased after required submissions.
