Overview
- Two EA-37Bs left Davis-Monthan on March 30 and landed at RAF Mildenhall with the callsigns AXIS 41 and AXIS 43, according to flight tracking and photos.
- CENTCOM’s April 1 campaign update listed the EA-37B as an Epic Fury asset, though the aircraft have not yet entered the command’s area of operations, The Aviationist reported.
- The EA-37B, a modified Gulfstream G550, is built to jam communications, radar and navigation signals to disrupt air defenses and command links.
- The Air Force has five EA-37Bs toward a planned 10 as it retires EC-130H Compass Calls, and aircrews have been flying training sorties at Davis-Monthan since May 2025.
- EC-130s have flown recent electronic-warfare missions against Iran, and analysts say moving early EA-37Bs into combat could meet urgent needs and work alongside RC-135 Rivet Joint intelligence flights.
