Cemtrex’s AIS Acquires Plant Engineering Services for $3.5 Million

The purchase brings in-house engineering that lets AIS offer end-to-end industrial projects for automotive and defense manufacturers.

Overview

  • Cemtrex announced Thursday that its Advanced Industrial Services unit closed an asset purchase of Plant Engineering Services for about $3.5 million in cash with up to $1.5 million in performance earnouts.
  • The company said it funded the deal from cash on hand and expects PES to be immediately profitable while adding roughly $4 million to $5 million in revenue over the next 12 months.
  • PES will operate as a dedicated AIS business unit in Fort Wayne with founder Mark Bohler remaining as president to preserve customer relationships and staff continuity.
  • Management framed the transaction as a capability play that gives AIS engineering and hydraulic expertise upstream of its existing rigging and installation services, enabling turnkey design-to-install projects.
  • The deal is Cemtrex’s third acquisition this fiscal year, follows AIS’s growth from about $21 million in 2022 to $38 million in 2025, and comes alongside a signed LOI for another purchase expected in the September quarter.
