Cedar Point Sets May 9 Opening, Unveils 2026 Events and Ride Highlights

The lineup spotlights a new coaster alongside culinary and Independence Day programming.

  • Cedar Point will open for the 2026 season on May 9 in Sandusky, Ohio, returning with 66 rides that include 18 roller coasters.
  • Barrels & Bites runs June 5–28 along the Frontier Trail with regional beer, bourbon and wine paired with specialty dishes from the park’s culinary team.
  • Star-Spangled Celebration takes place June 29–July 4 with skydiving demonstrations, performances by the Ohio National Guard’s 122nd Army Band, World War II aircraft flyovers by Lake Erie Warbirds and a large Independence Day fireworks show over the Great Lakes.
  • The attractions slate features Siren’s Curse, a coaster with a 160-foot climb, a 90-degree drop, on-board audio and a top speed of 58 mph, while Corkscrew marks 50 years since debuting as the first triple-looping coaster.
  • New guest offerings include veterans-only VIP parking near the Main Gate each operating day and a Regional Gold Pass sold online with five payments of $23 after a $35 initial payment, which provides access to Cedar Point and several partner parks.
