Ceará Begins Early Flu Shots for Priority Groups With Fortaleza Adding Weekend Clinics

  • Vaccination started on March 20 across Ceará for 20 priority groups defined by the Ministry of Health.
  • Fortaleza is operating 134 health posts and, this weekend, 15 posts from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. plus a site at Iguatemi Bosque from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The Ministry of Health shipped 760,000 doses to Ceará by early March 19, about 21% of the state’s target of 3.4 million people to be vaccinated by May 30.
  • Fortaleza received 221,310 doses for the 2026 campaign and expects additional shipments from the federal government.
