CDMX Details Transit, Security and Vaccination Plan for Shakira’s Free Zócalo Concert

The city is coupling crowd logistics with on-site measles vaccinations for a high‑turnout event.

Overview

  • The free concert is set for Sunday, March 1 at 20:00, with stage fencing already limiting access and the Zócalo‑Tenochtitlán Metro station exits remaining closed until further notice.
  • Metro service will run until 01:00 on Lines 1, 2 and 9, while Metrobús will extend service on Line 1 and the Glorieta Violeta–Indios Verdes segment of Line 7 with last departures around 01:00.
  • Metrobús adjustments include closures from 15:00 of Mina, Juárez, Hidalgo and Balderas on Line 3; no service all day on Line 4’s north and south routes; and closures of Hidalgo and El Caballito on Line 7, with partial operations on affected corridors.
  • Security plans call for more than 4,000 SSC officers with access filters and mobile checks, supported by C5 monitoring and a broader deployment of 6,500 city personnel plus attention modules and public screens across nearby avenues.
  • Authorities say they will install measles vaccination modules around the event and INVEA will enforce alcohol-sale rules, public-consumption restrictions and business hours, with drivers advised to use detours such as Eje 1 Norte, Eje 1 Oriente, Avenida Chapultepec, Circuito Interior and Insurgentes.
