Overview
- The Potter in Longton released CCTV showing three people passing before one man in a green hat ran across King Street and grabbed the snowman around 10pm on Sunday, January 4.
- Regulars at the pub built the snowman, which staff nicknamed Sammy, and placed it on a wall outside the venue.
- Site manager Callum Chadwick said the theft was puzzling, confirmed the pub will not contact police, and doubted the culprit will be identified.
- The pub’s Facebook post addressed the “snowman thief” with lines like “Bold move” and drew a wave of jokey comments referencing Frozen and other puns.
