CBSE will decide next steps after a March 10 review.

Overview

  • The decisions cover CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
  • All Class 10 papers scheduled from March 2 to 11 at these centres are cancelled, with the results methodology to be announced separately.
  • Class 12 examinations dated March 9, 10 and 11 are deferred, and new dates will be issued once conditions allow.
  • The board cites a critical security assessment of the region linked to tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
  • Students have been told to stay in contact with their schools for updates, with circulars signed by exam controller Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj and copied to Indian missions as thousands of candidates across the Gulf are affected.
