CBSE Postpones Class 12 Exams in Middle East Through March 16

The board set a March 14 review to reassess conditions.

Overview

  • Postponement covers CBSE centres in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
  • New dates for the affected Class 12 papers will be announced later, with students asked to monitor official updates through their schools.
  • The move follows a series of earlier disruptions, including delays on March 2, 5 and 7 and the deferral of March 9–11 papers for Class 12.
  • Class 10 examinations in these countries were cancelled through March 11, with the board to notify the method for declaring results separately.
  • CBSE copied its notice to Indian embassies in the region as missions issued advisories and assistance, including Bahrain-to-India transit support via Saudi Arabia and travel guidance from the Tehran embassy.
