Overview
- CBSE, which announced results on Wednesday, April 15, reported a 93.70% pass rate from about 24.7 lakh candidates and said girls outperformed boys.
- Under the NEP-aligned two-exam setup, a second sitting in mid-May offers score improvement, with about 1.47 lakh compartment students eligible and the List of Candidates window open from April 16 for five days.
- All challenges to marks will start only after the second exam and will run online in three steps that begin with getting a scanned answer sheet, move to mark verification, and end with question-wise re-evaluation.
- Performance varied by region and school type, with Trivandrum and Vijayawada at 99.79%, Guwahati at 85.32%, Kendriya Vidyalayas at 99.57%, and 55,368 students scoring 95% or higher.
- Results and merit certificates are available through CBSE portals, DigiLocker and UMANG, and faster processing this year came from expanded digital systems and defined timelines under the new model.
