Overview
- CBSE used its verified X account to state that a widely shared circular about rescheduling the Class 12 English exam is fake.
- The counterfeit notice cited Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE and falsely attributed authorship to Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj.
- Posts on X, WhatsApp and Instagram helped the fabricated document spread quickly just hours before scheduled papers.
- Officials said no rescheduling decision has been issued for Middle East centres and advised students, parents and schools to rely only on CBSE’s website, verified social accounts and school communications.
- Separately, CBSE has legitimately postponed some Class 10 and 12 papers in the region due to security concerns, with certain Class 10 exams cancelled and fresh dates to be announced through official channels.
