- CBS released a teaser trailer and first-look images on Tuesday, August 18 that publicly confirmed the principal cast, premise and premiere plans for NCIS: New York.
- The series will debut Tuesday, October 6 at 9 p.m. on CBS, scheduled between NCIS at 8 p.m. and NCIS: Origins at 10 p.m.
- LL Cool J reprises his NCIS role as Special Agent Sam Hanna and also serves as an executive producer, while Scott Caan co-stars as his new partner Nick Schaeffer.
