Overview
- Acting on specific intelligence, CBN teams from Ujjain with support from Jaora and Neemuch cordoned the Teerth Herbal Nursery farmhouse around 4 a.m. and entered after surveillance until about 10 a.m.
- Officers recovered 31.25 kg of mephedrone along with roughly 600 kg of precursor chemicals, seized lab equipment and processing tools, and destroyed the illicit facility on site.
- A Jan 12 CBN release said three individuals were arrested following detention and questioning, while earlier reports had noted detentions or no immediate arrests at the time of the raid.
- CBN said the detained men disclosed they had clandestinely produced the seized substance and had chemicals on hand, except one precursor, sufficient to make an estimated 250–300 kg more.
- Authorities value the seizure at about Rs 10 crore domestically, with some reports citing higher potential international worth, as probes examine property ownership, potential Indore links and wider supply chains.
