Overview
- A vehicle was reversed into the living-room window of an end-terrace house in Barlanark and set on fire, which fire crews extinguished and left the scene at 2:32am on Thursday.
- Police taped off the property, sealed the street entrance, and have launched a wilful-fire investigation with officers guarding the boarded-up house.
- Local reporting links the targeted address to a relative of members of the Lyons crime family but says that connection and motive come from unnamed sources and remain under inquiry.
- Neighbours told reporters two men were seen nearby before the attack and described a petrol-bomb thrown into the car; photos show a white Nissan Juke badly burned after ramming the front window.
- The incident follows a string of arson and vehicle-ramming attacks in the Glasgow–Edinburgh feud between TMJ and crews linked to Mark Richardson, and it could lead to stepped-up policing and further reprisals.
