Overview
- A blue Volkswagen Golf left the Malone Road roundabout and drove through a perimeter wall into a conservatory at a Dorchester Park property at about 3.45am on Monday.
- Officers initially located and arrested a 21-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving while unfit and other driving offences.
- The crash caused extensive damage to the offending car, the house and three other vehicles and forced the property’s residents to be evacuated in the night.
- Police established a cordon and have appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage from the Milltown Road and Malone Road areas, asking people to call 101 and quote reference 157 25/05/26 or contact Crimestoppers.
- Early statements said the two suspects remained in custody but later reporting indicated they were released on bail, and authorities have not confirmed whether anyone was injured.
