Overview
- Capcom confirmed on Saturday that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will ship with AMD FSR frame generation enabled in the demo and offered as an option in the final release.
- The company says the game’s engine still runs at a native 30 frames per second and that frame generation creates interpolated frames to produce a 60 FPS‑equivalent visual output rather than rendering every frame natively.
- Capcom acknowledged that interpolation can sometimes produce visible artifacts such as slight ghosting and said those cases are uncommon and judged not to materially harm play.
- The developer also reported it has adjusted the implementation to reduce the extra input latency frame generation can introduce and will let players turn the feature off if they prefer responsiveness over smoother motion.
- Industry watchers say this implementation, and other announced Switch 2 ports using FSR or similar techniques, will be an early test of how demanding PC and console games can be adapted for Nintendo’s hybrid hardware.
