Capcom Confirms Playable Mega Man Debut and Four-Title Lineup for Gamescom 2026

The publisher is staging a 60-station demo floor with daily livestreams to turn recent reveals into public hands-on play ahead of several upcoming releases.

Overview

  • Capcom confirmed on June 17, 2026, that its Gamescom booth in Hall 9, Stand A070 will offer four playable demos: Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Mega Man: Dual Override, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Street Fighter 6.
  • Mega Man: Dual Override will be playable to the public for the first time at Gamescom and remains targeted for a 2027 release across platforms.
  • Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, revealed in a recent Nintendo Direct, will be playable at the show and is scheduled to launch on October 9, 2026, with a Switch 2 bundle that includes the base game.
  • Onimusha: Way of the Sword returns to Capcom's Gamescom demo after a public trial in June, is due on September 25, 2026, and its team has said the demo's difficulty does not reflect the main game's final challenge.
  • Capcom will install about 60 demo stations across more than 950 square metres at its booth and will run global livestreams plus daily German-language programming produced by Rocket Beans TV to broaden reach beyond attendees.
