Canon Launches EOS R6 V in India With 7K Video and Built-In Fan

Canon targets creators with a video-first body paired with its first full-frame L-series power-zoom.

Overview

  • Canon India, which unveiled the EOS R6 V and RF 20–50mm F4L IS USM PZ on Wednesday, set prices at ₹2,35,995 for the body, ₹1,42,995 for the lens, and ₹3,55,995 for the kit with sales now live through official channels.
  • The R6 V records 7K Open Gate in RAW or MP4 using the full sensor area, offers oversampled 4K up to 60p, supports uncropped 4K up to 120p, and reaches 2K up to 180p for slow motion.
  • Canon says a built-in cooling fan enables roughly three times longer 7K Open Gate MP4 recording than the EOS R6 Mark III, addressing overheating during long takes such as interviews and events.
  • The new RF 20–50mm F4L IS USM PZ adds internal power zoom for smooth moves without barrel extension, and Canon rates combined body-lens stabilization at up to 8.0 stops with compatible IBIS bodies.
  • The video-first design drops a viewfinder and mechanical shutter to make room for rig-friendly tools like a vertical tripod socket, tally lamps, a front record button, waveform and false color, plus Canon’s #IndiaInMotion program to support local creators.
