The move signals progress in resolving a U.S.–Canada dispute over Gulfstream certifications.

Overview

  • On Feb. 15, Transport Canada issued type certificates for Gulfstream's G500 and G600, according to the regulator's database.
  • The newer G700 and G800 are not listed in Transport Canada's approvals and remain under review.
  • President Trump had threatened to decertify Bombardier jets and impose a 50% tariff on Canadian aircraft unless Canada cleared all four Gulfstream models.
