Overview
- CBP at the San Ysidro port of entry reported a secondary inspection that found more than 9 kilograms of fentanyl and 1.4 kilograms of heroin hidden in a car’s doors, and the 26-year-old driver now faces federal charges.
- Governor Gavin Newsom announced statewide totals since 2021 of more than 54 million fentanyl pills and about 37,000 pounds of fentanyl intercepted by authorities.
