BYU Expels Receiver Parker Kingston After Felony Rape Charge

Next hearings are set for Feb. 25 virtually, then April 13 in person.

Overview

  • St. George Police arrested Kingston following a yearlong investigation into an alleged Feb. 23, 2025 assault that led to a first-degree rape charge.
  • He was released on a $100,000 bond with $10,000 cash, a GPS ankle monitor for at least 60 days, no contact with the accuser or witnesses, a social media ban, and a restriction on entering Washington County except for court.
  • Judge John Walton said he found by clear and convincing evidence that Kingston was a danger to the community.
  • BYU said it learned of the investigation only after the Feb. 11 arrest and confirmed Kingston is no longer enrolled or part of the football program.
  • Court documents state the accuser reported she told Kingston to stop and did not consent, while Kingston told investigators the encounter was consensual, and the charge carries a potential sentence of five years to life if he is convicted.
