Overview
- Following Wednesday’s Paris launch, BYD opened Denza Z9GT orders in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the UK with a starting price of about €115,000.
- BYD says its Flash Charging system can deliver up to 1,500 kW, taking the Z9GT’s Blade Battery 2.0 from 10% to 70% in about five minutes and to 97% in around nine minutes under its stated conditions.
- A live demo at the launch event showed the car reaching 70% in roughly 5 minutes and 97% in just over 9 minutes, lending real‑world support to the company’s headline times.
- To enable those speeds, BYD plans 3,000 proprietary Flash stations in Europe within 12 months, using T‑shaped hardware that supports heavy cables and on‑site battery storage to boost grid supply, with early buyers offered up to 18 months of free fast charging.
- The European Z9GT features a 122.49 kWh pack and a tri‑motor setup rated at 850 kW (0–100 km/h in 2.7 seconds) with about 600 km WLTP range, and BYD also confirmed a broader rollout that includes Australian deliveries in Q3 2026 alongside initial Flash sites in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide late this year.
