BYD Previews 1,000-Kilometer EVs From Denza and Yangwang Ahead of March 5 Tech Event

Independent WLTP/EPA ratings have not yet verified the CLTC ranges BYD will outline at the showcase.

Overview

  • Denza says the new Z9 GT reaches 1,036 km (644 miles) on China’s CLTC cycle, a 64% gain over the current model.
  • China’s MIIT filings list 102.3 kWh and 122.5 kWh battery options for the Z9 GT with 820–1,036 km CLTC, and indicate a standard Z9 variant up to 1,068 km.
  • BYD’s Yangwang brand states the U7 will debut the Blade Battery 2.0 with a claimed 1,006 km CLTC range and four-motor performance.
  • BYD’s March 5 “Disruptive Technology” event is set to unveil the Z9 GT and spotlight Blade 2.0, a megawatt-class fast-charging system, and the “God’s Eye” 5.0 ADAS suite.
  • Outlets estimate 1,000 km CLTC translates to roughly 900 km WLTP and about 725 km EPA, as BYD readies global expansion with Denza models starting near 354,800 yuan in China.
