Overview

- A 54-year-old driver from Lübeck struck an adult buzzard with her Opel at about 100 km/h.
- The bird was found alive wedged in the radiator grille with a minor wing injury.
- Autobahnpolizei Bad Oldesloe worked with the driver and a bird officer to remove part of the grille and free the animal.
- The buzzard was handed over for further treatment and was reported to be doing well, while car damage was estimated at about €200.
