Bulkhead Launches FPS Games Show to Spotlight Shooter Titles on Sept. 3

The studio says it built a free, developer-led showcase to bypass steep trailer fees charged by major events and give FPS teams a single venue for reveals.

Overview

  • Bulkhead announced the pre-recorded FPS Games Show on Aug. 19 and will stream it exclusively on Twitch at 2 p.m. EDT on Sept. 3.
  • The showcase will feature 16 first-person shooters, including Rainbow Six Siege, Escape from Tarkov and Bulkhead’s Wardogs.
  • Organizers say every game joined for free and that the event has no paid placements or participation fees for developers.
  • Steam will run a linked third-party storefront event with discounts, demos and free weekends to amplify titles shown in the stream.
  • Bulkhead cited a quoted price of about $300,000 for a 60-second trailer on a major showcase as a key reason for creating the show and the move could give smaller studios a lower-cost path to reach large audiences.
