- WorldSBK’s Superpole Race was red-flagged on Sunday after a first-lap crash involving Andrea Locatelli, Miguel Oliveira and Sam Lowes that required trackside treatment for Oliveira.
- Stewards reviewed the incident and issued Locatelli a double long-lap penalty, and the race was then restarted over eight laps.
- Nicolo Bulega controlled the restart to defeat teammate Iker Lecuona by 0.894 seconds, with Lorenzo Baldassarri third as Ducati riders swept the top six.
- Miguel Oliveira was diagnosed with a concussion and a left shoulder injury and was transferred to Székesfehérvár hospital, while Danilo Petrucci was also ruled out with a left hip contusion, leaving BMW off the Race 2 grid.
