Buenos Aires Police Arrest 14 in 13 Court-Ordered Raids Targeting Street Drug Networks

City officials say the coordinated sweeps followed months of investigation to cut off financing for neighborhood trafficking cells.

Overview

  • Officers conducted simultaneous searches in 1-11-14, Constitución, Balvanera, Barracas and Villa Santa Rita.
  • Seizures included 400 grams of cocaine, 297 grams of pasta base, marijuana, tusi, firearms, ammunition, cash and weighing and packaging tools.
  • Three probes launched in August and October 2025 targeted a street-access bunker, bars and shops used as covers and a 24-hour sales point.
  • Those detained have extensive criminal histories, including one suspect with 35 prior cases and another under electronic monitoring in an aggravated-homicide investigation.
  • The searches were ordered by Courts Nos. 31 and 12 with intervention from the UFEIDE, and Jorge Macri and Security Minister Horacio Giménez publicly endorsed the operation.
