- The concert, which was announced June 23, will take place on Oct. 1 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
- Organizers published an initial all-star lineup that lists Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, Jon Batiste, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr., Billy F Gibbons and many other blues and rock artists.
- Steve Jordan will serve as the evening’s musical director and the show is produced by Blackbird Presents and Live Nation with Keith Wortman, Garry Buck and Scooter Weintraub as executive producers.

- Buddy Guy is scheduled to perform and the event honors his decades-long influence on electric blues and rock; Guy’s awards include multiple Grammys, a Lifetime Achievement Grammy, the Presidential National Medal of Arts, and a Kennedy Center Honor, and producers say more special guests will be revealed ahead of the concert.
