Overview
- British Transport Police are investigating an alleged rape reported at Nuneaton (Trent Valley) railway station on March 13.
- A 36-year-old man, Billy Ormiston, has been charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Warwick Crown Court on July 13.
- Detectives have issued an urgent appeal for two men who used the platform two men's toilets separately between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on March 13 because they may hold key information for the inquiry.
- Officers describe one witness as a white man with a bald head and glasses wearing a dark blue outer jacket, grey trousers and tan shoes and the other as a white man in an orange and dark-colour jacket with the hood up carrying a rucksack.
- Anyone who was at Nuneaton station that evening should contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 with reference 708 of 13 March or report information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
