BTP Issues New Rail Assault Appeals as Bond Street Pair Believed Outside UK

Police are asking commuters to help identify people pictured in new images linked to several recent rail assaults.

Overview

  • British Transport Police released CCTV of four men after multiple fights on a London to Birmingham train on 13 September, during which a guard was assaulted at Birmingham International.
  • Detectives said the man and woman sought over the 11 October racially aggravated assault at Bond Street are thought not to live in the UK and are believed to have left on 14 and 24 October.
  • Officers are still establishing what substance was sprayed in the Bond Street incident, reported with no ill effects, and they continue to update the victim's family.
  • Images were issued after two unprovoked slapping assaults on women about 10 minutes apart on the Central line on 11 November, first at Marble Arch escalators and then on a train at Lancaster Gate.
  • A separate appeal seeks a man after a woman was sexually assaulted during the morning rush on an Elizabeth line service from Slough to Tottenham Court Road on 11 November; information can be shared via text 61016, call 0800 40 50 40, or Crimestoppers.
