Brooks Man Charged With Human Trafficking as RCMP Seek Additional Victims

The arrest followed a 2025 complaint that launched a months-long, multi-agency human trafficking investigation.

  • Chad Jensen, 46, of Brooks is charged with eight offences, including human trafficking, two counts of sexual assault, assault, two counts of administering a noxious substance, distribution of intimate images, and trafficking for material benefit.
  • Brooks RCMP arrested Jensen on Jan. 8 following an investigation that began after a February 2025 report from a woman who alleged she was forced into sexual encounters for money.
  • Investigators executed a search warrant on March 25, 2025 at a Brooks residence and seized electronics, illegal substances and other paraphernalia.
  • Police say there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to contact Brooks RCMP or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
  • The case involved Brooks RCMP working with the RCMP human trafficking coordinator, ALERT’s human trafficking unit and the Alberta RCMP interview assistance team, with the next court appearance set for Feb. 11 in Brooks.
