A 59-year-old Brooklyn woman was allegedly raped by a neighbor who smashed down her apartment door and viciously pummeled and choked her in a violent attack Friday night, police and sources said.

Overview

  • Investigators say the attacker forced his way into the Bensonhurst apartment around 8:30 p.m. Friday, entered her bedroom, demanded sex, and beat and choked her.
  • Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old Jakhongir Sattorov, a neighbor in the same building, and the victim told officers she knew him.
  • He faces three counts of rape, two counts of assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, and criminal mischief.
  • The woman reported the assault around 11:15 p.m. and was taken to NYU Lutheran Medical Center in stable condition.
