Overview
- Odyssey Head, 27, now faces three counts of attempted murder along with assault, menacing, weapon possession, arson, burglary, criminal mischief and trespass, police said.
- The case centers on three slashings in roughly 24 hours in Flatbush: on a northbound Q train Saturday morning, near Foster and New York Avenues Saturday night, and near Newkirk and New York Avenues Sunday morning.
- All three victims—men ages 37, 53 and 56—were cut on the left side of the face and were hospitalized at Kings County in stable condition, according to authorities.
- Head was taken into custody in Coney Island following the alleged laundry-room arson-burglary; officers recovered a kitchen knife during the arrest, his arraignment is pending, and he is undergoing medical evaluation.
- Detectives released surveillance images and continue to review additional video, and police say he is also charged in a separate September store slashing as the broader investigation proceeds.
