Brooklyn Man Arrested in Fort Lauderdale After K9 Sniff Finds Meth

Police say a combination of concealed drugs, a scale, large cash sums, multiple phones, a gun with an altered serial number, an allegedly forged Florida ID indicates an intent to distribute.

  • Searches turned up a digital scale with powder residue, multiple cellphones, $3,515 in a backpack and $3,600.75 on Pastore, plus a loaded .380 handgun with an altered or shaved serial number.
  • Pastore faces charges that include methamphetamine trafficking, possession of meth and cocaine, possession of a forged driver’s license, and drug paraphernalia, and booking records show he posted $37,000 bail on Sept. 8.
  • The case remains in the pretrial stage with investigators alleging Pastore and the vehicle’s driver worked together to traffic drugs, and prosecutors will decide whether to pursue the trafficking and forgery-related felonies.
