Brooklyn Firetruck Crash Kills 1, Injures At Least 10 in Gravesend

  • A 78-year-old man riding in the Access-A-Ride van was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.
  • At least 10 people were injured, including at least five firefighters, along with the commercial van, Access-A-Ride, and Lexus drivers and additional passengers.
  • Officials said firefighters were taken to a local hospital, the commercial van driver to NYU Langone Brooklyn, and the Access-A-Ride driver and three passengers to South Brooklyn Health, where the survivors were listed in stable condition.
