Broadway Box Office Ticks Up to $40.37M as 'Every Brilliant Thing' Breaks Into Top Five

Tony nominations next week could jolt sales.

Overview

  • For the week ending April 26, Broadway’s 40 shows grossed $40,365,196 from 335,070 tickets, with an average paid admission of $120.47 and overall capacity at 89.61%, according to The Broadway League.
  • Daniel Radcliffe’s Every Brilliant Thing logged its best week at about $1.65 million, ranked fourth, sold out its run, and posted the week’s highest average ticket at $208.93.
  • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child led with roughly $2.31 million, followed by Hamilton and The Lion King, and Chicago outgrossed Wicked for the first time since the week of March 8, 2026.
  • Six productions opened during the week—Schmigadoon!, The Balusters, Beaches, The Rocky Horror Show, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, and The Lost Boys—with Rocky Horror nearly selling out while Beaches struggled at about 65% capacity and $476,871.
  • Megan Thee Stallion set May 1 as her final Moulin Rouge! performance, which could ease that show’s recent boost, and the May 5 Tony nomination announcement is the next likely swing factor for new and recent openings.
